Robert Traxler is the Lifeguard Manager and Site Manager at the Almaden Valley Athletic Club. He started at AVACŪ in 2013 as a Swim Instructor and has worked in various positions within the Swim School, Lifeguard, and Facilities team. He has been passionate about swimming since he started competitive swimming and Water Polo in 2008 which led him to swim for SJSU and coach the club team there as well. He studied Art & Design while working at AVACŪ and has been able to use his degree while starting the Art programs here and painting the Child Care facility; as well as helping with renovations at the Swim School. In 2015 he met his wife while they were both working in the Swim School and were married in 2021. Robert's favorite part of working at AVACŪ is culture of the team and the family here that has provided him support and encouragement throughout his time.
